This should be interesting.  The anti car groups will be out in force.  Will the City Staff do what they did at the St. Francis, Oak Park meetings, and the State and De la Vina meetings?

Most likely. 

For the uninformed it was dog and pony shows with pre-printed agendas steered directly to congesting streets and denying drivers the options of efficient and safe streets.  When the mood and majority went against them they refused to listen and forced fierce fights at City Council Meetings. 

St. Francis there were blatant published lies, and when caught they denied them.  Floor fight where at least one current traffic person backed the printed lies even after being outed as not representing the majority (as claimed) and stating all property owners had been contacted without any major objections (not true).

Oak Park, same situation but with the added touch of pre-printing “out comes” of the meeting.  Again when the majority went against the city…. bitter floor fight.  Then head of Transportation, Allen, reneged on the promise “NOT” to put in partial congestion and narrowed Chapala.  He then went ahead with the De la Vina / State intersection roundabout plans.

State and De la Vina roundabout and narrowing plan.  Precipitated by the failed Oak Park Plan.  Dayton, Allen, and others decided to push for this (as with the Chapala narrowing) that should have been 86’d as part of the now broken Oak Park Plan promise.  Again bitter Council Fights.

Each and every intentional congestion plan was backed by the absolute anti car agenda of the TCC.  People like David Pritchett then TCC member who was and is unreasonably anti car.  Pritchett is the husband of Council Woman Murillo, and far left lobbyist in Sacramento.

Expect people like Bulbout Hell COAST, and Inbar to be there and talk over any objections.  Expect the Bike Coalition to be there pushing for bike plans that an high density lower economic housing area cannot produce because of the cars and trucks used by these very residents.  (remember bulbouts are dangerous for bike travel)
