Santa Barbara Host Lions Club representative moves forward in state speech competition

San Marcos High School senior Anjuli Das has won the Lions District 4-A3 level Lions Club speech contest, whose theme this year was “What could the America of yesterday teach the America of tomorrow?”
Das represents the Santa Barbara Host Lions and earned a $4,500 scholarship and the chance to advance to compete for a total of $21,000 in scholarships in the next state contest.
