It was Watermelon Wednesday at the Santa Barbara Zoo!

The Animal Care Team on Wednesday created watermelon enrichment for many of the zoo's animals.

Enrichment is how the zoo keeps animals stimulated and interacting with their environment. Sometimes it is food, sometimes “toys” like branches or burlap sacks, sometimes scents are sprayed throughout exhibits. It’s different all the time.
