Santa Barbara Choral Society Presents Masterful ‘Masterworks’ Concerts

The Santa Barbara Choral Society continued to celebrate with the community its 65th Anniversary Season and Artistic Director JoAnne Wasserman’s 20th anniversary with the Choral Society with their “Masterworks” concerts in March at San Roque Catholic Church. Enjoying the standing ovation were soloists Dr. Alexander Wasserman (pianist), Benjamin Brecher (tenor), Keith Colclough (bass), Alyssa Martin (soprano) and Rena Harms (soprano) as JoAnne Wasserman saluted the choir. Wasserman led members of the Choral Society, the Choral Society Orchestra and guest soloists in performances of Mozart’s Grand Mass in C Minor and Regina Coeli, after which rising young concert pianist and son of JoAnne Wasserman, Dr. Alexander Wasserman, joined the chorus and orchestra to perform Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy. For more information and tickets to the final 65th Anniversary Season concert, a performance with the Santa Barbara Symphony on May 18-19, click here or call the Santa Barbara Symphony Office at 805.898.9386.
