Best Buy officially opened Friday in Camino Real Marketplace, 7090 Marketplace Drive. Part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony included donations to four local nonprofit organizations, with $5,000 each to the Goleta Valley Branch Public Library and United Way of Santa Barbara County, $2,000 to the American Red Cross-Santa Barbara County Chapter, and $1,000 to Habitat for Humanity for Southern Santa Barbara County.

On hand for the occasion were Goleta Mayor Roger Aceves and Kristen Amyx, president and CEO of the Goleta Valley Chamber of Commerce. The Dos Pueblos High drum line and UCSB cheerleaders gave the ceremony a festive flair.
