Antioch University Santa Barbara (AUSB) is a campus of Antioch University, a five-campus university located in four states. Antioch University was founded in 1852 on principles of rigorous liberal arts education, innovative experiential learning, and socially engaged citizenship. The Santa Barbara campus has been in operation since 1977 offering Bachelor’s completion, Master’s degrees, Doctorates, and teacher credentialing. The Continuing Education Division of SBCC, founded in 1918, is one of the nation’s leading adult education programs. Nearly 50,000 people enroll in “Adult Ed’s” non-credit and community service courses annually. They design their own schedules from hundreds of diverse daytime, evening and weekend classes, offered free or at low cost, in over 80 community locations each term.
