Pregnant Woman Hurt in 3-Vehicle Crash After Driver Runs Light
A pregnant woman was injured in a traffic collision Wednesday afternoon involving a city of Santa Maria bus and two other vehicles.
Police say Florencio Lopez Peralta, 20, of Santa Maria, driving a 1990 Toyota Corolla, was traveling north about 3:45 p.m. approaching the intersection of Main and Broadway. Kevin Harden, 52, of Templeton, driving a 2008 Scion, was turning left from eastbound Main to northbound Broadway. Bus driver David Mccashen, 53, of Santa Maria was stopped in the southbound lefthand turn bay of Broadway.
According to witnesses, Peralta failed to stop at the red light and entered the intersection as Harden was making a left turn to go northbound. Peralta struck the rear passenger side of Harden’s vehicle, causing him to lose control and sideswipe the city bus.
Peralta’s passenger, a pregnant female whose age was unknown, was transported to Marian Medical Center with a complaint of pain to her abdomen.
The police investigation revealed Peralta was an unlicensed driver and an undocumented immigrant. He was cited for driving without a license and for failing to stop at a red light.

And you wonder why so many people want illegals deported. They will site him, but not deport him and he won’t serve any time for being ILLEGAL. Chances are he’ll skip out on the ticket too.

Let’s see, an undocumented immigrant is cited for driving without a license and failing to stop at a red light. I’m sure he’ll show up at the hearing. And Mr. Hadley? He and the City of Santa Maria will bear the damages. Just doesn’t seem fair, does it?

A follow up article by Noozhawk would be lovely to see what comes of Florencio as he is here illegally. Will he be sent back to his home country? I, for one, would like to know. Or is he merely going to be cited for driving unlicensed…

Several friends are dealing with lifetime pain and inability to work at their previous pace due to illegals rear ending them and having zero consequences. I spoke with one man in Spanish who hit my friend at 50 miles an hour when my friend was stopped in traffic on the freeway. There was a question re: who owned the vehicle…the driver or his cousin. The cousin was legal but lied and said she just sold the car to the driver who caused the accident. I was able to speak with this man on the phone (in Spanish) and explained to him he needed to take responsibility for this. His response was, waht are you going to do about it? I’ll just move back to Mexico where you can’t find me”. These people knew that by lying about the car being his and not the cousin’s they could get away with this. Nice huh? Another friend experienced 3 accidents in only a year and 1/2. Her life has been horrible since and all 3 perpetrators were 100% at fault and 100% illegal. They did nothing to any of these people. They are supposed to confiscate their vehicles, I believe, but that didn’t happen, none showed up to court. After all, when you are rewarded for breaking the law by coming into this country illegally, why would other laws apply to you?

I knew it wouldn’t take long for some racist to bring up the fact that the driver at fault is here illegally!

The article states it as a fact.
“The police investigation revealed Peralta was an unlicensed driver and an undocumented immigrant.”

In Arizona this is how we do it…“The police investigation revealed Peralta was breaking the law by driving without a license and not insured. It was then determined that he was an illegal alien. He was immediately arrested, turned over to MCSO and without being turned over to ICE…was delivered to MCSO holding pens to be escorted across the border. The vehicle was impounded for future sale at auction.” Daniel Petry

The racist part is due to various poster’s obvious hatred toward illegal aliens.

Cabeza, you are so very predictable. You think that by branding anyone, who disagrees with your position on having an open border, as a racist; you can shut down a discussion. Ignorant, myopic and racist – look in the mirror and say those threes words to yourself. You confuse racism with wanting legal immigrants and adherence to the rule of law. If you want to ignore the law you can always go down Mexico way to enjoy the sterling lifestyle and vast economic opportunity. If you are illegal you are illegal…an inconvenient truth that seems VERY hard for you to swallow. Daniel Petry

Some may think that they can shut down a discussion if they brand anyone a racist who disagrees with their position. That in istself is myopic and racist You say a person is racist when they want legal immigrants and adherence to the rule of law. If you are illegal you are illegal…an inconvenient truth that seems VERY hard for some to swallow. Daniel Petry

Uh, yeah, we hate illegal aliens and the mess and expense they cause to us real citizens. Who would enjoy that? You do?

HUH? I’m glad that you agree that there is such a person as a “real citizen” and those that are not. We are making progress then. Daniel Petry
