CHIP HAS BEEN FOUND - SAFE
Chip here - reporting from home. I was micro chipped, but a microchip only works with a scanner, i.e., and I wasn’t picked up and taken to a shelter or luckily when I went onto the 101 freeway at Garden I didn’t get hit by that car! and then they would have scanned me at the Morgue. Microchips are NOT a GPS device; they won’t track my every move. Within 2 minutes of my disappearance, volunteers began searching downtown SB. My owners immediately flew from Wisconsin to help locate me. I am a Champion Show Dog, which is why I am un-neutered. (Another member of my family won this year’s AKC/Eukanuba National Championship Award of Excellence for Labradors) My owners do NOT want Santa Barbara having a lot of “LITTLE CHIPPIE’S “running around two months from now. They also know that many people are afraid of dogs and wouldn’t want me mistakenly terrorizing anyone. Doors open, dog’s run out, accidents happen. I made a mistake, and should have listed to my Pet Sitter. Volunteers combed the streets 24/7 looking for me to bring me home where I belong. 3 1/2 days later, I was found locked up behind a fence at Garden and Yananoli. I still had my collar with phone number on. I think I was “adopted” by a worker there. If I could talk, I would have quite the story to tell! My family would like to give everyone a big “Thank You” for your countless hours and efforts looking for me and for a job “Well Done”! I AM HOME!!! AND I CAN TELL YOU THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME. MY OWNERS can’t thank the Santa Barbara Community enough for their eyes, ears, calls and support during this time.
Weather: Fair 57.0º
