Noozhawk’s Tea Fire Coverage
Big thanks are due to Rob Kuznia and Edgar Oliveira, who were caught with the rest of us without power Thursday evening when the Tea Fire knocked out electricity throughout much of downtown Santa Barbara. The pair foraged for a connection and filed Noozhawk’s first report at 6:50 p.m. from Rob’s garage. Sonia Fernandez later added information I was able to relay to her from my house in Montecito, which also was dark.
To all of our families, friends and readers affected by this wildfire, Noozhawk extends its heartfelt condolences for the loss of memories and property. You are in our thoughts and prayers. To our brave firefighters and public-safety personnel, thank you.

Hey Bill, this is from the LA Times:
“This thing came on so fast, you just couldn’t believe it,” actor and homeowner Rob Lowe said Friday. “Embers were raining down, they were in our hair, they were in our shirts. . . . It was absolutely Armageddon.”
I thought Rob Lowe lived at the world famous 700 Picacho Lane ??? That’s a couple of miles from the fire. What gives?
