The Rotary Club of Goleta recently welcomed Benjamin Sutherland as its guest speaker.

Sutherland writes for The Economist and other publications such as Newsweek on the social, political and business implications of new and disruptive technologies. He divides his time among Italy, California and Paris, where he teaches a post-graduate class called Globalisation and Conflict.

If you would like to become more aware of your community locally and globally, we invite you to visit our bimonthly Rotary meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday nights at the Elephant Bar & Restaurant in Goleta. The dinner meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., and socializing starts between 6 and 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy camaraderie and fellowship as you learn how you, too, can become a member of Rotary and help make this a better world.
