Seventh-graders Isabelle Radis, ChaCha Fisher and Sophia Soriano tame waves on short and longboards
Crane Country Day School’s girls’ surfing team earned third place in Team Girls Longboard and Shortboard on Sunday at the Interscholastic Surfing Federation California State Surfing Championship (junior high students) in Oceanside.
Seventh-grader Isabelle Radis won a third-place trophy in the Girls Shortboard Division and a fifth-place trophy in the Girls Longboard Division at the tournament. Isabelle placed first in the final Channel League Girls Shortboard and Longboard standings. ChaCha Fisher, a Noozhawk photography intern, finished second in the final Girls Shortboard league standings and fifth in Girls Longboard. Sophia Soriano finished fourth in the final Longboard league standings. All three girls are seventh-graders.
