The Citizens Planning Association & Foundation's annual Sand Castle Festival carves out its niche at East Beach.

Team We Dig Life’s sand dragon was the overall winner of the annual Santa Barbara Sand Castle Festival sponsored by the Citizens Planning Association & Foundation. Saturday’s festival at East Beach included a Surf-a-Duck Race and music from Bruce Goldish, Kelp, Long Story Short and DJ Gerry DeWitt.
