Two people were seriously injured Monday in a rollover crash on Highway 101 north of Los Alamos, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at about 8:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes north of Palmer Road, near the Solomon Grade, said fire Capt. Daniel Bertucelli.

The vehicle overturned several times, and came to rest in a field off the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two people were ejected from the vehicle — an SUV — and suffered moderate injuries, Bertucelli said.

They were treated at the scene, then transported to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria.

Their names and details on their conditions were not available.

The crash was under investigation by the CHP.
