Santa Barbara police detectives were searching Saturday for four suspects who robbed a female customer inside an Outer State Street store Friday night.
The incident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. at Ross Dress for Less at 3965 State St. in the Five Points Shopping Center, according to police Lt. Aaron Baker.
He said the suspects — described as two black men and two Hispanic women — confronted the customer inside the store and demanded money and personal items.
No weapon was seen, he added, noting that the strong-arm robbery was done “only with force or fear.”
The customer, whose name was not released, suffered minor injuries when she apparently was struck in the face, Baker said.
He said the suspects left the area in a vehicle that was found abandoned a short time later in the parking lot at Chick-fil-A at 3707 State St.
The four then fled on foot down State Street, and remained at large Saturday.
