Aiden Mandel led San Marcos with 20 points in a 72-54 Channel League win over Cabrillo Tuesday.
A big first quarter and consistent defensive pressure helped the Royals get a comeback win after losing to Cabrillo last Friday.
“Julian Hicks, Jaden Reyes and Shakir Ahmad did a great job putting constant pressure on their guards and making it tough for them all game,” San Marcos coach Jelani Hicks said. “When we subbed, they came in and brought great energy as well.”
Ahmad scored 14 points for the Royals.
Brad McCune led Cabrillo with 20 points.
San Marcos is now 3-1 in league play, and Cabrillo falls to 2-2.
The Royals face Lompoc on Thursday.
