
Senior pitcher Allie Fryklund and freshman shortstop Caitlyn Early have been named to the All-CIF Southern Section Division 5 team.
In Division 6, Lompoc senior Haley Larsh and sophomore Cheyanne Cordova received All-CIF honors.

Fryklund and Early were instrumental in San Marcos winning the Channel League with a 14-1 record, going 20-5 overall and advancing to the Division 5 semifinals.
The Arizona Christian University-bound Fryklund posted a 19-4 season record, struck out 241 batters in 154.1 innings and had an earned run average of 1.04. In the later part of the season, she pitched shutouts in four straight games, two against rival Dos Pueblos and two in the playoffs.
At the plate Fryklund batted .506 with a team-high 42 hits, 23 RBI, six doubles, one triple and two home runs.
Early was a powerhouse at the plate in her first season. She carried a batting average of .481 and a slugging percentage of .860. She led the team in homers with six, doubles with 12 and RBI with 25. She also drew a team-high 12 walks.
On defense, Early had a fielding percentage of .965.
The Division 5 Player of the Year was senior pitcher Desyree Arizmendi of division champion Ocean View. Jose Smith of Ocean View was named the Coach of the Year.
Ashlyn Flinchum, a senior pitcher for champion St. Bonaventure was the Division 6 Player of the Year and Andy Gibson of the Seraphs received Coach of the Year honors
