Make-A-Wish Tri-Counties (Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo) has announced the addition of Amie Parrish to its Board of Directors. Parrish is a senior vice president and senior financial advisor for Wells Fargo Premier Advisors in Santa Barbara.
For some three decades, Parish has helped clients address their financial concerns and develop strategies by targeting each individual’s specific needs. In 2018 she was awarded Top Women in Business designation by Pacific Coast Business Times and in 2020 she was named among Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors.
She previously served on several nonprofit boards, including the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara, Transition House Women’s Auxiliary, Santa Barbara Young Professionals, and Elings Park Foundation.
“I am so proud to represent the Santa Barbara community as a member of this amazing board,” Paris said . “About 25% of the children served by Make-A-Wish Tri Counties are from Santa Barbara County. We are looking to our community supporting these Wish Kids.”
Make-A-Wish provides wishes for those most vulnerable children who battle life-threatening medical conditions like cancer, leukemia, cystic fibrosis, liver and kidney disease, heart abnormalities, and other childhood diseases. Make-A-Wish provides wish experiences to help these children and their families cope with their illness, its treatment, and provide hope for a future.
“We are delighted to add Ms. Parrish to our Board of Directors,” sayid Pattie Mullins, CEO. “We are serving children in a different way, by providing COVID-19 safe wishes and preparing ourselves for those that require physical contact and travel.
“Since funding has become a huge obstacle with less cash, in-kind gifts, donors shifting priorities, and fund-raising events all delayed or canceled, we are reaching out to everyone we could to support these Wish Kids. Input from community members like Ms. Parrish is critical.”
