Credit Union Veteran Suzanne Leedale Joins CoastHills as Vice President of Branch Operations

Suzanne Leedale

Suzanne Leedale has joined CoastHills Credit Union as its vice president of branch operations after spending the past seven years as CEO of SLO Credit Union.

Suzanne transitioned SLO Credit Union to a community chartered financial institution, a strategic move that opened its field of membership to more people in San Luis Obispo County.

Her creative prowess also resulted in award-winning marketing campaigns that were recognized nationally and internationally.

“Suzanne’s experience as an industry leader is a tremendous asset as we reach out to a field of membership that now includes all of five counties on the Central Coast,” CoastHills President and CEO Jeff York said. “This position will be crucial as we expand into new territories.”

Suzanne’s honors include being named to the "Top 20 Under 40" by The Tribune (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) in 2009.

She also made the Pacific Coast Business Times’s "Who’s Who in Banking and Finance" for the past three years.

She has a business administration degree from Wayland Baptist University and completed Western CUNA Management School’s three-year program.

Born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, Suzanne started her financial career in the U.S. Army’s finance corps, where she processed payroll, issued travel payments and made sure that deployed soldiers’ requests for needed funds were met.

Upon leaving the Army, she was hired by a credit union in Fairbanks, Alaska, where she worked her way up from financial service rep to information technology manager.

Noozhawk Asks: What’s Your Question?

Welcome to Noozhawk Asks, a new feature in which you ask the questions, you help decide what Noozhawk investigates, and you work with us to find the answers.

Here’s how it works: You share your questions with us in the nearby box. In some cases, we may work with you to find the answers. In others, we may ask you to vote on your top choices to help us narrow the scope. And we’ll be regularly asking you for your feedback on a specific issue or topic.

We also expect to work together with the reader who asked the winning questions to find the answer together. Noozhawk’s objective is to come at questions from a place of curiosity and openness, and we believe a transparent collaboration is the key to achieve it.

The results of our investigation will be published here in this Noozhawk Asks section. Once or twice a month, we plan to do a review of what was asked and answered.

Thanks for asking!
