Bishop Diego is home for a CIF Football quarterfinal; Laguna Blanca hosts 8-man semifinal on Saturday

Three prep football teams are moving on in the CIF-SS playoffs. 

On Friday night, Bishop Diego hosts San Marino in a Division 6 quarterfinal game at La Playa Stadium while Dos Pueblos hits the road to Cerritos to face Gahr in a Division 10 quarterfinal match-up. On Saturday, Laguna Blanca hosts its first CIF 8-man semifinal game, taking on Division 2 top-seeded Hesperia Christian at 1 p.m.

SBCC has had a successful fall sports season. Its women's golf team was playing for a state championship on Monday in Morro Bay, the women's water polo team is playing in the state tournament on Friday and Saturday at Cuesta, and the men's and women's soccer teams host regional playoff games on Saturday.

The UCSB women's basketball team makes its 2017-18 home debut on Friday against Seattle.
