Authorities on Thursday released the name of the female pedestrian who died last weekend after being struck by an Amtrak train in Santa Barbara.
The deceased was Eileen Pearl Dumong, 65, of Santa Barbara, according to Raquel Zick, public information officer for the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.
Firefighters and other emergency personnel were dispatched shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday to the incident on the railroad tracks near Cacique and South Quarantina streets.
