Bishop Diego’s boys and girls basketball teams will play back-to-back CIF-SS championship games on Saturday at Colony High in Ontario.

The second-seeded Cardinals girls team faces No. 1 Ganesha at 2 p.m. in the 5A Division title game. 

Bishop’s boys follow at 4 p.m. against Arrowhead Christian for the 5AA Division championship.

This marks the first time since 1991 that a boys and girls teams from the same school in Santa Barbara County have advanced to the CIF-SS basketball finals in the same season.

The Bishop girls last won a CIF basketball title in 2015. The school has never won a boys title. The Cardinals made the finals in 2011, losing to Valley Torah, 58-51.

There will be six divsion championship games played at Colony on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.

Tickets prices are $15 for general admission, $5 for students and children age 5-13. There also is a $5 parking fee.
