Bishop Diego was back on the court after its overtime loss against Carpinteria and suffered a 63-38 defeat to Pacifica at the Nordhoff Tournament on Thursday.
The Tritons took control in the second quarter and never looked back.
“I felt we weren’t responding to their physicalness, and I think that hurt us,” said Bishop coach James Coronado. “We started to fight back in the third quarter but a few things didn’t go our way that would’ve gotten us back in the game.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the way we fought back in the second half. That will bode well for us in the future.”
Kai Morphy led the Cardinals with 15 points and Matthew Cunningham added 10 points.
Jon Farin and Ryan Lynch Cole each scored 14 for Pacifica.
