Bishop Diego defeated St. Joseph’s, 7-6, and celebrated its first four-year water polo athletes with a Senior Day at the San Marcos High pool on Monday. 

Noah Peterson scored four goals and goalie Reagan Adams made 14 saves as the Cardinals avenged an earlier 16-2 defeat against St. Joseph at the Pioneer Valley Tournament. Austin Carty added two goals and Paul Zoltoski one.

The Bishop Diego seniors honored before the game were Adams, Zoltoski, Carty, Capri Aquistapace and Max Schwartz. Also recognized was St. Joseph senior Chase Johnson.

Bishop coach Connor Levoff praised his senior group for their commitment, perseverance and respect. “Their legacy in helping create and build our program will not be forgotten,” he said.

Bishop Diego is 9-15 on the season.
