The fledgling Bishop Diego water polo team erupted for five goals in the third period and beat Hueneme, 11-2, in a varsity boys game on Wednesday.

Bishop Diego is in its first year of competition in boys water polo. The team, coached by Connor Levoff, is playing a freelance schedule that includes JV and varsity teams. The Cardinals report only games against varsity opponents.

Paul Zoltoski scored three goals to lead the Cardinals.  Goalie Reagan Adams had six saves, two steals and scored a goal.
