We got down 18-9 in the second quarter but Elliot Redkey and Clara McDonald combined to score 12 points in the quarter to get us to a 23-21 halftime lead.
“We then got down 41-34 midway through the fourth but Elliot scored six points Lily Simolon scored a basket with 26 seconds left to give us a 42-41 lead. Lily then made a free throw with 4 seconds to give us a 2-point lead and they missed a 25-footer at the buzzer.”
Clara and Julia de la Cruz each scored seven points.
“We really got great contributions from everyone at key moments in the game whether it was a basket or a rebound,” said Burich. “We played almost half the game with at least three freshmen on the court.”
