Carpinteria-based indie folk rock artist Beau James Wilding will be releasing the first single from his new album on January 13, 2023. The unfiltered folk-rock single, entitled “Set Myself on Fire” will be released in advance of his third full-length Record, entitled seeing I god, coming in April 2023.
After spending more than half his life legally blind, Beau takes us through the hazy realities of his unique human experience, all the while undergirded by a strong sense of will and determination. Poetic, raw, and honest lyrics discuss living with the inquiry of what it means to give one’s self fully to this one precious life while his vigorously thumping guitar playing will get you off your feet and out of your own way. A show at the brewLAB in Carpinteria will celebrate the release, with a performance by Beau and an acoustic set by local blues-rock shredder Zach Doiron.
