On Sunday morning, May 7, 2023, Santa Barbara Hillel will honor outstanding individuals who have made enormous commitments of time, effort, and generous support to ensure the future of the local Jewish community. Harvey and Ellen Silverberg and David and Gail Teton-Landis will be inducted into the organization’s Hall of Fame, and Walt and Rachel Wilson will receive the Alumni Achievement Award.

According to Hillel’s Executive Director Rabbi Evan Goodman, “The Hall of Fame brunch is always a highlight of our school year because it gives us the opportunity to show our appreciation to those special individuals who have meant so much to UCSB Hillel and to the community at large.”

Starting with a festive brunch in the garden at 10:30 a.m., the event then moves indoors for short talks by the honorees and current students, who will attest to the friendship, leadership opportunities, deepened ties to Judaism, and broader worldview—all thanks to Hillel.
