Santa Barbara Free School’s Fall Open House

Santa Barbara Free School is our community’s first democratic school– a private day school where teens and staff together develop the curriculum, write the rules, and administer the program.
Interested families, educators, and community members are invited to check out the Free School, meet our staff & families, and learn all about Democratic Education.
From 6-7pm a presentation and panel discussion will be led by school founders Madeline Kimlin and Jesse Resnick. We’ll be exploring: Why is democratic education the future of school? What does the schedule and student life look like? What are the opportunities for college and careers? Learn about the Free School from different perspectives.
