Enjoy a unique musical experience signature to Festival Mozaic right in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara! Scott Yoo, Music Director of Festival Mozaic and Host of Now Hear This on PBS, presents a free chamber music event featuring Brahms’ Piano Quartet in C minor. You will be treated to a “Notable Encounter,” Scott’s hybrid lecture/performance format that takes the audience behind the music. You will learn about the history of the piece, hear some stories about Brahms and what was happening in his life at the time, and gain some insight into the musical elements featured in the piece. After this 15-20 minute presentation, Scott and the group will perform the entire piece.
This is a free event, but reservations are required.
