A resurfacing of State Route 166 from Obispo Street in Guadalupe to Blosser Road in Santa Maria will begin on Monday, June 8.

Motorists will encounter lane closures and one-way reversing traffic control, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays. Construction during the overnight hours will occur 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Sunday night through Friday morning and 11:55 p.m.-6 a.m. Fridays.

This project will include a new rubberized surface to improve the quality of the roadway, a resurfacing of the existing shoulder, portions of the two-way left turn pockets and installation of shoulder and center line rumble strips.

Contractor for the $2.8 million project is CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria.
