Austin Stone swept three sets and Corban Pampel and Ryan Souza each won two in singles, leading the Carpinteria boys tennis team to a 12-6 win over Malibu in a Citrus Coast League opener on Tuesday.

In doubles, Ian McCurry/Esteban Zapata went 2-0 before Ian paired with Angel Velasquez who went 1-0 together.

“It was a good learning experience for Angel to be paired with Ian who is like a second coach on the court,” said coach Charles Bryant.

The Warriors (2-4, 1-0) play Hueneme on Thursday.
