Carpinteria fell behind early and couldn’t recover in its CIF girls volleyball playoff opener, falling to Thacher, 25-21, 25-8, 22-25 25-14, in a Division 8 match on Thursday at Carpinteria.

“The Warriors refocused and took Set 3. However, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Toads,” said coach Dino Garcia.

“We had a solid run (this season),” he added. It was a tough league, with a lot of experienced gained. Looking forward to next season already.”
