Carpinteria couldn’t contain Vistamar’s trio of scorers and dropped a 59-48 decision against Vistamar of El Segundo in a CIF-SS 5AA boys basketball second-round playoff game on Friday.
Royce Samaiego and Fanuel Alemayehu each scored 15 points and Jaylen Brewer had 14 for Vistamar.
Dylan O’Neill led the Warriors with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Ian Reed added nine points and four assists and Jose Suarez chipped in eight points.
Carpinteria finishes 17-9 on the season.
