Carpinteria lost a 1-0 decision to visiting Beverly Hills in a non-league girls soccer game on Friday.

“Similar to the day before (a 0-0 draw against Lompoc), we had multiple players playing in different positions and this time around we just could not hold the ball and retain possession,” said coach Charles Bryant. “We gave the ball away too quickly and too easily.”

Bryant said the Warriors played better in the second half, but suffered injuries to some starting players.

“Hopefully, they will be able to join us for our first league game in a few weeks,” he said.

Carpinteria is 2-6-1 on the season.
