The Carpinteria girls water polo team was firing on all cylinders Monday in a 16-6 rout of Cabrillo in a non-league game.
Behind the scoring of Briana Rodriguez and Piper Clayton, the Warriors rolled to a 13-3 lead after three periods.
Rodriguez led all scorers with seven goals, while Clayton had four, Jocelyn Pena added three goals and Ainslee Alexander two. Pena, Clayton and goalie Erin Otsuki each had three steals, and Otuski made six blocks in three periods of play.
The Warriors (10-4, 2-0), return to league action Tuesday at home against Fillmore at Carpinteria Community Pool.
