Carpinteria remained tied for first place in the Citrus Coast League basketball standings after beating Santa Paula, 57-49, on Tuesday night,
The Warriors share the lead with Nordhoff at 8-1 going into Thursday’s final day of league play. Carpinteria plays at Malibu while Nordhoff goes to Hueneme.
Dylan O’Neill scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds to pace the Warriors on Tuesday. Mateo Handall had 12 points and three assists and Mateo Handall chipped in nine points and grabbed four rebounds.
Noah Sanchez led Santa Paula with 18 points.
Carpinteria (15-8) has won its last seven games.
