The Cate girls soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at Grace Brethren on Tuesday in a Tri-Valley League match.
“They are a strong team with an excellent set of center midfielders,” said Cate coach Taylor Wyatt of the Lancers.
The Rams trailed 1-0 at halftime.
“Our primary strategy this season has been to pass through our own talented midfield, and Grace Brethren simply broke up our game each time we attempted to play possession,” said Wyatt.
“This game came at the perfect point in the season to serve as an important learning opportunity for how to play at this higher level in the Tri-Valley League.”
Cate plays Thursday at home against St. Bonaventure,
