Ari Seal scored twice in the first 21 minutes, setting the tone for the Cate boys soccer team in a 5-0 win over visiting Santa Clara.

Seal finished a pass from Shion Kato in the first five minutes and scored the second goal off a pass from Seb Sutch.

In the 29th minute, Sage Hou took a pass from Jae Lim on the left side and lofted a cross that became a shot when it found the back of the net on the far post for a 3-0 lead.

Three minutes afterwards, Peter Wood handled a perfect through ball from Mason Oetgen and cleanly finished deep into the box.

Sutch completed the scoring on a one-two combination with Seal.

Cate outshot the Saints 29-6.

Coach Peter Mack praised the play of  holding midfielder Owen Conde-Raggett and center back Rick Bobby Valente.

“Their play has enabled us to pressure higher up the field without too much worry on the back end,” said Mack.
