Firefighters knocked down a chimney fire early Friday at a home in Orcutt, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Crews arrived at the residence on the 800 block of Wayland Place to find a chimney fire that escaped into the wall and attic, fire Capt. Daniel Bertucelli wrote on Twitter shortly before 12:45 a.m. Friday.
After battling the fire, crews were overhauling and checking for extension of flames, Bertucelli said.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
