The name of a Santa Maria motorcyclist killed in a crash with a truck last week in southern San Luis Obispo County has been released.

James Lamon, 31, of Santa Maria died in the crash Friday afternoon near Arroyo Grande, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Lamon’s motorcycle was westbound on Los Berros Road east of Century Lane at about 3:40 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve in the roadway, the CHP said.

The motorcycle crossed a solid double-yellow line and slammed into an eastbound Ford F-150 truck driven by Annamarie Hanada, 35, of Nipomo, the CHP said.

The investigation was continuing, but the CHP said alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the collision.
