The city of Lompoc staff and project architects are seeking the public’s thoughts on two design options for the skate park portion of the College Park redesign.

The proposed College Park concept features a completely redone skate park, a playground and game area, basketball courts, a picnic area, restrooms, landscaping, and security lighting.

Two different layouts have been proposed for the skate park features, and the public is asked to weigh in on an online survey available through Friday, Nov. 11.

The redesign project is funded by $3.6 million as part of the California State Parks Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program.

Public feedback provided via the survey will be considered as the city develops a final design plan for the College Park skate park.

The public also will be invited to a community meeting in January regarding the skate park design.
