The motorcyclist killed in a vehicle crash near Sisquoc on Thursday has been identified as Jeffrey Marez, 43, of Santa Maria, according to the Santa Barbara County Coroner’s Bureau.
He was fatally injured in a head-on crash with a Honda sedan at about 6:15 p.m. on the 4900 block of Foxen Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to a preliminary incident report from the CHP, Marez was “unable to maintain his lane” in a curve on Foxen Canyon Road, and crossed into the path of the oncoming Honda.
Marez was declared dead at the scene, and three people in the car had minor injuries, according to the CHP.
