There were 64 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Santa Barbara County as of Saturday, bringing the total to 8,404 cases, according to the California Public Health Department.

The county Public Health Department has again stopped providing COVID-19 updates on weekends and official holidays, the Surveillance Metrics Dashboard website said.

However, the county is required to report daily COVID-19 information to the state Department of Public Health.

The state website does not include information about the geographic location of cases on the county level.

The state reported the county had 41 COVID-19 patients in local hospitals, plus seven more suspected cases.

Of those, 14 were in intensive care, with two more suspected, according to the state database.

No new coronavirus-related deaths were reported, with the total remaining at 94 in the community and three at the Lompoc federal prison, according to numbers available from the state.

The county is expected to provide its next update on COVID-19 cases Tuesday evening.
