Firefighters responded Tuesday afternoon to a vegetation fire that was reported along northbound Highway 101 in Goleta.

Crews were dispatched shortly after 4:30 p.m., and arrived to find a fire involving vegetation, a vehicle and a dumpster, according to Capt. Daniel Bertucelli of the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The blaze was burning between the Trader Joe’s market rear parking area and the freeway.

Crews were able to quickly knock down the flames and prevent them from spreading to the nearby structures.

No injuries were reported, Bertucelli said, adding that the cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
