Dayzia Mendoza scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as the Santa Barbara girls broke a five-game skid in a 36-24 win over host Lompoc in the Lompoc Tournament Saturday.
Chloe Adams continued to improve with 10 points, seven rebounds and six steals.
Monique Jimenez scored five points and played inspired defense containing Lompoc’s leading scorer.
The Dons outscored the Braves 6-0 in the first quarter. The gap remained the same at 21-15 after three quarters, when Santa Barbara widened the final margin to 12 in the fourth.
