Santa Barbara High scored three times in the first 26 minutes on Friday night to defeat Westlake 3-1 and remain unbeaten in boys soccer.

The Dons, ranked 10th in CIF Div. 1, improved to 6-0-1.

“We got off to a fast start, forcing Westlake to make an errant back pass inside their 18-yard box that resulted in an own goal,” said coach Todd Heil. “Still applying pressure to Westlake’s backline just 10 minutes later, Juan Carlos Torres was taken down in the box and Luisangel Jeronimo finished the resulting penalty kick.

“Cason Goodman completed the scoring in the 26th minute when he one-timed an excellent pass from Pedro Guillen to beat the keeper to the far post.
I’m very proud of the effort by the boys this week, scoring six goals and getting two wins on the road.”

The Dons will hit the road again on Tuesday when they travel to Buena.
