The due of Portia Sherman and Chloe Hoffman beat a strong opponent from the Bay Area’s Redwood High to lead the Dos Pueblos girls beach volleyball team to a 4-1 win on Saturday.

Sherman/Hoffman swept their sets, 21-13, 21-17 to remain unbeaten in three years playing together.

“This was elite volleyball at its best,” said DP coach Mike Fitzgerald.

In the No. 4 position, Malia Brofferio/Sabrina Valerjev won a marathon match, 18-21, 21-19, 15-13.

On Friday, the Chargers defeated Chaminade, 4-1
