The COVID-19 pandemic has not only put a halt to high school athletics, it’s also impacted critical fund-raising events for school sports.

For Dos Pueblos sports teams, the DPHS Athletics Booster Club’s biennial Casino Night in-person fundraiser was cancelled due to the pandemic.

The booster club, however, has come up with an alternative activity to support the DP teams. The sports teams have put together a variety of gift baskets and the booster club has collected prizes from local merchants for a silent auction.

The auction is open for bidding through Tuesday, Sept. 15.

To bid on a basket or prize, click on this link to the auction site.

Proceeds from the online auction will benefit all teams and student-athletes of Dos Pueblos. There is also donate button on the site for those interested in making a financial contribution.

Auction bidders must be 21 or older. Bidders do not have to have a student enrolled at DP, but they must live in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area and be able to pick up winning items at Dos Pueblos High.

More than 800 students participated in athletics at DP last year and the school expects that number to increase this school year.
