Portia Sherman put away eight kills, Sarah Jang served four aces and setter Mikayla Butzke had four kills, 15 assists and two aces. Erin Curtis led the defense with 10 digs.

“We bounced back from a tough loss last night (at Arroyo Grande) to put together an almost complete match against Ventura,” coach Megan O’Carroll said. “Our first two sets were a really strong showing for our starting line up, with the girls playing loose and aggressive.”

The Chargers held off Ventura down the stretch of the third set to earn the sweep.

Dos Pueblos (1-1) is home on Tuesday against Newbury Park.
