Baylor Huyck led four players in double figures, but Dos Pueblos couldn’t overcome a cold second quarter and fell to Delano, 68-64, in a non-league boys basketball game on Friday on the road.
Huyck scored 17 points, Kael Rillie and Alex McCeney each had 13 and Joaquin Riker added 11 for the Chargers (1-3), who were outscored 16-5 in the second quarter and trailed 35-27 at halftime.
“We played well at times and showed some good execution,” coach Joe Zamora said. “Unfortunately we had a few misses and gave up some offensive rebounds. We put ourselves in a position to be successful but we came up short.”
The Chargers play at Mission Prep on Saturday at 12:20 p.m.
